Evguenia Davenport
English Writing
& Literature

Hello! I am Evguenia Davenport but my friends and family call me Zhenia. Currently, I am a fourth year PhD candidate in the English Literature department at the University of South Florida (USF). I teach English composition courses as a Graduate Associate at USF. I graduated from USF in 2013 with a dual Master's degree in Spanish and in Applied Linguistics: English as a Second Language. I taught Spanish and Russian at USF between 2009-2022. In my spare time, I like traveling, dancing Argentinian tango, playing golf, and boating. Having grown up in cold Siberia (I am originally from Russia), I simply love Florida climate and could never get tired of lounging around the pool with my cats and watching spectacular Floridian sunsets!
My passions
VOLUNTEERING!
I volunteer for Russian Heritage organization and have served as a Secretary on Board of Directors for the organization since 2016. Russian Heritage is a non-profit organization based in Tampa Bay area. We organize cultural and educational events to bring together the community and promote diversity.

ARGENTINIAN TANGO!
I fell in love with tango when I went to Buenos Aires, Argentina as a graduate student in the summer of 2012. I have been dancing (still a work in progress:) tango ever since.

I organize events on a wide range of themes — from intimate gatherings to vibrant themed experiences. I focus on the concept, atmosphere, and details to ensure each event reflects the client’s vision and personality. My goal is to create lively, memorable events that leave strong emotions and lasting impressions.
